1799 $10 Small Obverse Stars, BD-2, High R.5 -- Altered Surfaces -- PCGS Genuine. AU Details. PCGS misattributed this 1799 ten dollar as Large Obverse Stars. This is the only Small Obverse Stars obverse with star 9 away from the Y in LIBERTY and star 13 away from the bust. The greenish-gold surfaces display scattered traces of red and show no significant marks. The design elements are uniformly well-struck. This is a wonderful opportunity for the variety specialist with only 35 to 45 examples of the BD-2 known.
