Liberty Eagles
1841-O $10 -- Cleaning -- Genuine PCGS. AU Details. Following the Philadelphia Mint eagles struck from 1795 to 1804, the denomination was suspended indefinitely. Finally, more ten dollar gold pieces were struck in 1838, and examples were minted in New Orleans for the first time in 1841. Charlotte and Dahlonega never produced gold coins larger than half eagles due to press limitations. This pleasing green-gold example has good design definition with light field reflectivity and minimal marks consistent with an AU coin.
