1865-S $10 865 Over Inverted 186 XF45 ANACS. The inverted underdigits are plain on this Choice XF example. This Guide Book variety is rare in all grades with only 40 to 60 pieces believed known, although it is actually more plentiful than its Normal Date counterpart, which has a population of likely less than 35 coins. The strike well-executed but high-point wear exists on the devices. The yellow-gold surfaces show scattered light marks that are consistent with the grade.
