Liberty Eagles
1882-CC $10 XF45 PCGS. Variety 2-A. Misplaced digits in the denticles below the date and die lines within the left part of the shield are characteristics of the sole die pair used to strike 6,764 eagles at the Carson City Mint in 1882. This lightly circulated offering retains partial reflectivity in the fields, most noticeably around the devices. Boldly struck everywhere except the olive leaves. The upper reverse has two pinscratches through STATES and the motto, and a few rim nicks appear above ED and S OF. Encapsulated in a green label holder.
