Liberty Eagles
1893-CC $10 AU58 PCGS. Variety 1-A. Soon after reclaiming the White House, President Cleveland halted coin production at Carson City, just as he had done eight years earlier in 1885. This time, coinage never resumed, leaving the 1893-CC ten with an emission of just 14,000 pieces. This is a prooflike near-Mint representative. The strike is bold, and the sun-gold surfaces are minimally marked aside from moderate facial contact. Population: 36 in 58, 9 finer (3/17).
