1901 $10 MS65+ PCGS. The 1901 Liberty eagle is a popular type coin, available in MS65 and scarce finer. This high-end Gem displays sharp detail and frosty rose-gold luster that deepens toward the centers. Eye appeal is outstanding. Careful study with a loupe finds three small marks that prevent an even finer grade, located near star 4, on Liberty's chin, and at the tip of the top arrowhead, respectively. The 38 finer coins at PCGS will be difficult for the budget-restricted collector to reach into (3/17).
