1857-S $20 AU58 PCGS. Medium S. Vast quantities of Mint State 1857-S twenty dollar gold pieces were recovered from the S.S. Central America. We are unsure of the origin of this crisp, nearly Uncirculated coin, but the surfaces are a light shade of rose-gold with abundant frost. The eye appeal is still pleasing despite numerous field abrasions.
