1861-S $20 XF45 NGC. CAC. This Choice XF branch mint double eagle was struck using the older Longacre reverse, after the coinage with the Paquet Reverse was discontinued. The orange-gold surfaces show the expected number of contact marks for a large gold coin that spent some time in circulation, and light wear shows on the devices.
