Liberty Double Eagles
1866 $20 Motto AU58+ PCGS. CAC. The motto, IN GOD WE TRUST, was added to the reverse in 1866, creating what we now know as Type Two double eagles, the sub-type of the Liberty Head design issued from 1866 to 1876. This lovely near-Mint example has brilliant light yellow luster and extremely pleasing surfaces.
