1873 $20 Open 3, Doubled Die Obverse, FS-101, MS62 PCGS. CAC. LIBERTY is die doubled south on this popular Cherrypickers' variety. A sun-gold example with good luster and a clean reverse. The obverse exhibits the expected number of scattered small abrasions. The Type One design is available in Mint State due to shipwreck hoards, and Type Three twenties are plentiful in Uncirculated grades because of foreign bank holdings. But the Type Two design is conditionally elusive.
