Liberty Double Eagles
1875 $20 MS62 PCGS. With a reported mintage of 295,740 pieces, the 1875 Liberty double eagle is the only gold denomination of the date that was produced in anything like normal numbers. This impressive MS62 example offers well-detailed design elements and lustrous orange-gold surfaces that are lightly marked, aside from two obverse scrapes, one on the neck, and another in the right obverse field. PCGS has graded 86 numerically finer examples (3/17).
