1882-CC $20 AU58 NGC. Variety 1-B. This nearly Uncirculated 1882-CC double eagle retains vibrant luster uninhibited by brief handling or cabinet friction. Each side displays mixed sun-gold hues with green and lavender elements. The stars are fully raised with complete centers and radial lines, and the hair curls are crisply defined. Smooth fields heighten the appeal. Very scarce in higher grades, with 61 submissions reported finer at NGC (3/17).
