1889-CC $20 AU58 NGC. CAC. Variety 1-A. This CC-mint issue easily outranks the 1889 and 1889-S as the most elusive, and certainly the most sought-after double eagle issue from that year. It also claims the lowest mintage of the three (30,945 coins). Partial frosty luster glows from green and peach-gold surfaces. There are numerous thin grazes, but deep abrasions are scant.
