Liberty Double Eagles
1905-S $20 MS64 NGC. Well-struck with dazzling cartwheel luster and rich, subtly variegated rose-gold and mint-green coloration. Small abrasions are noticeable on both sides, but they are entirely in line with the assigned grade level. A red-orange alloy spot is noted adjacent to the N in UNUM. The 1905-S is a scarce issue that was overlooked for many years. NGC shows nine finer submissions (3/17).
