Saint-Gaudens Double Eagles
1909-D $20 MS64 PCGS. From a low mintage of 52,500 pieces, the 1909-D Saint-Gaudens double eagle is an elusive issue in MS64, and finer coins are rare. This attractive Choice specimen offers sharply detailed design elements and vibrant mint luster throughout. The pleasing orange-gold surfaces show negligible signs of contact, aside from a thin obverse scratch through rays 8,9, and 10. PCGS has graded 24 numerically finer examples (3/17).
