Saint-Gaudens Double Eagles
1911-D $20 MS66 NGC. The 1911-D Saint-Gaudens double eagle claims a moderate mintage of 846,500 pieces and the issue has a high survival rate in high grade, making it a popular choice among branch mint type collectors. The issue is quite elusive in grades above the MS66 level, however. This delightful Premium Gem exhibits well-detailed design elements and impeccably preserved orange-gold surfaces that radiate vibrant mint luster. NGC has graded 37 numerically finer examples (3/17).
