Saint-Gaudens Double Eagles
1913-S $20 MS62 PCGS. Brilliant, peach-yellow surfaces show only minor marks across the lustrous, lightly frosted and sharply struck surfaces of this Mint State 1913-S. The reported mintage of just 34,000 pieces is of unending enticement to double eagle enthusiasts. Curiously, the availability of the issue is seemingly unaffected by the small number of pieces struck. Nice Uncirculated examples are indeed scarce, though, and this radiant twenty certainly belongs in that class.
