1872 25C Washington Octagonal 25 Cents, Baker-503, BG-722, Low R.4, MS65 PCGS. This attractive Gem features the popular Washington Head obverse and the no-berries wreath reverse. BG-722 is a fairly elusive Period Two octagonal quarter dollar manufactured by the firm of Frontier & Bellemere. The design elements are sharply rendered and the lightly marked greenish-gold surfaces show prooflike reflectivity on both sides. Population: 27 in 65, 36 finer (3/17).
