PTOLEMAIC KINGS of EGYPT, Ptolemy I Soter, as satrap, 323-305 BC. Tetradrachm (Silver, 27mm, 17.29 g 12), Memphis, 323-316. Head of Herakles to right, wearing lion skin headdress. Rev. ΑΛΕΞΑΝΔΡΟΥ Zeus seated left on low throne, holding long scepter in his left hand and, in his right, eagle standing right with closed wings; to left, vertical thunderbolt; below throne, ΔΙ. Price 3976. Toned and well-struck. About extremely fine.
