Octavian, 29-27 BC. Denarius (Silver, 20mm, 3.87 g 10), Brundisium or Rome. Bare head of Octavian to right. Rev. The Curia Iulia ('the Senate house'): shown as a pedimental building with a low colonaded porch, pedimental sculpture and, on the architrave, IMP - CAESAR. BMC 631. BN 52. Cohen 421. RIC 266. Very attractively toned. Some very minor marks, otherwise, extremely fine.
