CANDRA: Suriyacandra, ca. 580, AR 24 ratti (2.57g), Mitch--, cf. Mahlo-40 for full unit, recumbent humped bull left // srivatsa, flanked by stylized leaf tendrils, tentative attribution (see Mahlo's image for his #40), but must be of this period - compare the bull and its surroundings to the issues of the immediately previous ruler, Dhrticandra, Fine, RRR, ex Hans Mondorf Collection. Thick narrow silver coins of this style differ from the standard 64 ratti & 16 ratti pieces, and were likely the product of a different mint for local circulation.
