MINEMAW: AR amulet (9.81g), ca. 10th century or later, Htun, pp. 115 ff, Mahlo, p.165, ornate image of the bhadrapitha // imaginary design, with very stylized elephant at the top, twice perforated, as virtually always, superb quality, VF to EF, ex Hans Mondorf Collection. The Minemaw types of the Shan Hilltops occur in many designs, mostly derived from earlier Burmese coins, and vary greatly in size. Nearly all are punched twice, presumably for decorative attachment.
