GREAT BRITAIN: George III, 1760-1820, AR dollar, ND [1797], KM-634, S-3765A, small oval portrait of George III stamped over the head of Charles IV of Spain on Mexico 1794-Mo 8 reales, assayer FM, NGC graded MS62+. Incredibly rare to find such a high grade host coin as this, with so much original luster. This must be one of the finest countermarked dollars seen in the marketplace. A very similar coin sold in Ira & Larry Goldberg Coins & Collectibles Auction 48 (14 September 2008), Lot 2570 for $3400.
