ZEUGITANIA: CARTHAGE: Anonymous, ca. 200-190 BC, AE 43mm (85g), S-6533, head of Tanit left, wreathed in corn // horse standing, sun-disk between two uraeus-cobras above, some small corrosion spots, as normal on this massive bronze coin, Fine to VF, RR. This is the largest ancient copper coin struck outside of Egypt, introduced as part of a complex coinage reform after the Second Punic War.
