MENKUJAKIDS: Fakhr al-Din Bahramshah, 1167-1225, AV dinar (4.07g), "Misr", "AHxx1", A-V1892, a proper die of Bahramshah b. Da'ud b. Ishaq coupled with an imitative die based on a dinar of the Fatimid Imam al-Mustansir of Misr xx1 (but should be AH481, as it is type A-719.2 with 'abd Allah wa walihi"), VF, RRR. From a small group, also containing imitations of purely Fatimid dinars, including lot #XXX in this auction. The obverse marginal legend is "fakhr al-dunya wa'l-din 'izz al-islam wa'l-muslimin (a)mir al-umara" followed by one undeciphered word, as reconstructed from this piece and the following lot.
