THESSALY. Larissa. Early to mid 4th century B.C. AR drachm. 6.07 gm. 18.5 mm. Head of the nymph Larissa three-quarter facing r., neckline in the form of an open V with central pellet; all within border of dots / Horse with straight legs feeding right on dotted exergue line; [ΛΑΡΙ] above. Lorber. Early. 70.4. Good Very Fine; lightly toned over fresh surfaces; three faint scratches between horse's legs. Bold and attractive, and of an especially charming style.
