Dark Ages Heavy Short Sword. East Central Europe (Hungary?), 400-800 AD. Iron heavy single edged short sword with curved ring pummel. Made by local blacksmiths and used to fight the Romans and later foes. Overall 13.5" long. Ragged edge and pitting overall. Choice excavated condition.
