Valens (364-378). AR Miliarense, Antioch mint, AD 367-375. Obv. DN VALENS PER F AVG. Pearl-diademed, draped and cuirassed bust right. Rev. GLORIA ROMANORVM. Two emperors standing facing, heads turned towards each other, under arch; the one on right holding vertical spear and globe, the one on left vertical sceptre and globe; between them, dot; in exergue, ANT [ ]. Cf. RIC 31 (R3) var. C. 10. (Fr. 80) var. AR. g. 4.06 mm. 20.50 RRR. Extremely rare. Lightly toned. A few scratches on obverse, otherwise VF/Good VF.
