1940 5C Reverse of 1938, FS-901, PR67+ PCGS. CAC. This is an elusive variety in high grade. Monticello shows the mushy, wavy steps of the 1938 hub type, although the strike is fully rendered. The fields are mirrored and each side exhibits delicate champagne toning. A Condition Census example. Population: 72 in 67 (5 in 67+), 2 finer. CAC: 15 in 67, 1 finer (4/17).
