Proof Jefferson Nickels
1971 5C No S PR69 Deep Cameo PCGS. FS-501. An unknown, but certainly small, number of proof Jefferson nickels were struck from a die that inadvertently left off the S mintmark in 1971. The elusive No S coins are rarely seen with deeply contrasted surfaces and none have been certified above the PR69 level with the Deep Cameo designation at either of the leading grading services (4/17). This magnificent PR69 specimen is fully struck and impeccably preserved, with deeply reflective fields that contrast profoundly with the richly frosted devices.
