Early Half Dimes
1795 H10C V-4, LM-10, R.3, VF25 PCGS. CAC. Digit 1 touches the curl, star 1 joins the tip of curl 2, and there is one outer berry between UN of UNITED. This later die state has developed a cud above TY and star 9. Pleasing medium gray patination embraces both sides, leaving the well-defined devices just a shade or two lighter than the fields. A planchet lamination is visible in the left obverse quadrant.
