Bust Dimes
1835 10C JR-1, R.1, MS64 PCGS. CAC. The JR-1 is among the more accessible die pairs for the date, and a number of high-end examples have survived, making it popular with type collectors. Rich toning lends this warmly lustrous near-Gem particularly strong eye appeal. Gold-orange, reddish-tan, and sage shadings are separated into outer rings and an inner core on the obverse, but the reverse has a more dappled appearance. Population: 79 in 64 (3 in 64+), 21 finer. CAC: 18 in 64, 11 finer (4/17).
