1955 1C Doubled Die Obverse, FS-101, MS64 Red PCGS. The population of the 1955 doubled die cent drops off sharply above MS64, regardless of color designation. This near-Gem Red coin remains within the grasp of most collectors and is thoroughly eye-appealing and lustrous. The strike is above average, and the copper-red surfaces are original. A loupe finds only a few small specks on each side. PCGS has seen 21 finer doubled die coins (4/17).
