Proof Barber Quarters
1895 25C PR68 Cameo PCGS. A horseshoe-shaped lintmark (somewhat resembling the omega symbol) was on the hub, resulting in a curved raised line on the side of the nose (near the eye) that is seen on all 1895 proof quarters. Otherwise, there are no marks to mention on this brilliant and super-contrasted Superb Gem quarter. The thickly frosted motifs are dazzling-white against jet-black mirrored fields. Just a single Cameo proof is finer at PCGS. Population: 7 in 68 Cameo, 1 finer (4/17).
