Standing Liberty Quarters
1916 25C MS64 Full Head PCGS. The Standing Liberty design was introduced in 1916, and the Philadelphia Mint accomplished a mintage of just 52,000 pieces, an extremely low production total for any 20th century coin. In addition, the design was modified the following year, making the Type One a sought-after two-year design type. The coins were actually released early in 1917, and Mint State examples are quite elusive, especially with the Full Head designation.
The present coin is an attractive Choice specimen, with vibrant satiny mint luster and highlights of gold and aquamarine toning. The design elements are well-detailed, with a touch of softness on the shield rivets, but showing Full Head definition.
