Early Half Dollars
1795 50C 2 Leaves, O-117, T-3, R.4, VF30 PCGS. The lowest curl has a blunt end at the upper point of star 1 and the reverse berries are arranged in a 9x8 pattern, identifying the O-117 variety. This pleasing VF30 example retains much interior detail in Liberty's hair and the surfaces are blanketed in attractive shades of lavender-gray and golden-brown toning. The field is unfinished below Liberty's chin and a few planchet adjustment marks show in the hair.
