1828 50C Square Base 2, Small 8s, Large Letters, O-116, R.2, MS64+ PCGS. CAC. Aquamarine fields and devices are encompassed by golden-brown peripheries. Lustrous and unmarked with outstanding eye appeal. The strike is crisp except on the stars. Among the finest survivors of the die marriage. O-116 is typically attributed by its horizontal die lines west of the date, along with die rust near the right (facing) claw. Well within the Condition Census for the variety, with both the PCGS Plus and CAC endorsements.
