Seated Dollars
1855 $1 -- Questionable Color -- PCGS Genuine. AU Details. OC-1, High R.3. Coming from a limited mintage of 26,000 pieces, the 1855 Seated dollar is a better date in all grades and particularly scarce in AU and Mint State. The present coin has smooth, unblemished surfaces, although the deep gunmetal-blue and gray toning on each side was deemed to be of questionable origin by PCGS. Little wear is observed, although strike weakness is seen on several stars, Liberty's foot, and the eagle's left (facing) talons.
