1906 $2 1/2 MS67+ PCGS. As the Plus designation indicates, the MS67 grade is conservative on this high-end 1906 Liberty quarter eagle. The strike is sharp, and we can find no distinct imperfections in the frosty yellow-gold luster. The 1906 is a popular type coin, although Superb Gems are conditionally scarce, and pieces grading finer than the present example are extremely rare. Population: 72 in 67 (6 in 67+), 2 finer (4/17).
