1808/7 $5 Close Date, BD-2, High R.4, AU55 PCGS. Bass-Dannreuther Die State a/c. The reverse die was first used with the 1807 half eagles of this design type, and has not materially changed in the present use. This piece has delicate luster in the protected areas with scattered, grade-consistent marks on its satiny light yellow surfaces.
