1909-O $5 PCGS Genuine. The PCGS number ending in .98 suggests Damage as the reason, or perhaps one of the reasons, that PCGS deemed this coin not gradable. In our opinion, this coin has the details of an AU specimen with altered surfaces overall and an old gouge on the eagle's neck. The coin is otherwise pleasantly orange-gold and well-detailed with a clear mintmark. The scarcity of the 1909-O half eagle will generate interest in this piece from budget-conscious collectors.
