1860-S $10 -- Cleaning -- PCGS Genuine. AU Details. With a low mintage of just 5,000 pieces, the 1860-S is scarce in all circulated grades and extremely rare in Mint State. It is one of the more underappreciated issues in the long and challenging Liberty Head eagle series. This example is smooth and sharply defined with even, medium-gold surfaces -- partially the result of cleaning, which has removed most of the nuances of natural patina. Still, a highly acceptable example of this very scarce branch mint issue.
