Liberty Double Eagles
1851 $20 MS60 PCGS. The 1851 Liberty double eagle was produced in large numbers, but few were saved by contemporary collectors and the issue is scarce in Mint State grades today. The orange-gold surfaces of this impressive MS60 specimen show the expected number of minor contact marks for the grade. The design elements are well-detailed and traces of original mint luster are evident in sheltered areas.
