1905 Philippines Peso PR66 PCGS. Philippines pesos were struck in proof each year between 1903 and 1908. The 1905 through 1908 issues are proof-only. The 1907 is non-collectible, since just two pieces are known. The 1905 is the second-rarest date, and has a proof mintage of 471 pieces. Much of the mintage was likely lost during the World War II Japanese occupation. This is a lustrous Premium Gem that boasts a sharp strike and exemplary eye appeal. Hints of straw-gold and silver-gray toning adorn the borders. Only an infrequent tiny fleck denies perfection. Population: 4 in 66, 5 finer (4/17).
