Early Half Dollars
1795/1795 50C 3 Leaves, O-111, T-19, High R.4, Fine 15 PCGS. Tompkins Die Stage 1/3. The obverse is in a perfect state, while the reverse shows a bisecting die break that creates two distinct planes. The 1795/1795 O-111 half dollar is highly collectible as the only Flowing Hair, 3 Leaves type. The broadly doubled date only adds to its allure. The design elements are well-worn but retain considerable hair and feather detail. Mixed light and dark gray patina covers each side. A rare offering for the specialist. Population: 6 in 15, 13 finer (4/17).
