Early Half Dollars
1807 50C Draped Bust, O-105, T-4, R.1, XF40 PCGS. Tompkins Die State 4/3. Mint luster remains at the margins of this smoothly worn Draped Bust half. The obverse displays an even stone-gray patina that deepens at the borders, while the reverse adds reddish-gold and blue shades to the mix. We note a few faint swirling lines beneath the toning, but there are no distracting marks and nice definition remains on the devices for the assigned grade.
