Seated Half Dollars
1861-O 50C CSA Obverse, FS-401, WB-102, Die Pair 11, R.3, VF25 PCGS. The diagnostic die crack from the rim near star 7 is most visible where it enters the bridge of the nose and exits below the chin on this middle grade Seated half, struck under the authority of the Confederacy. Always in demand because it shares the same obverse as the original and genuine Confederate half dollars (just four known), this moderately circulated example displays smooth, evenly toned dove-gray surfaces with nice definition for the grade.
