Proof Seated Half Dollars
1863 50C PR64 PCGS. Only 460 proof half dollars were struck in 1863. This near-Gem survivor displays vivid multicolor toning around the borders with light champagne interiors. The strike is sharp throughout, save for the eagle's left (facing) talon which is slightly soft. The fields are deeply reflective. Finer examples are rarely encountered. Population: 45 in 64, 17 finer (4/17).
