Barber Half Dollars
1892 50C MS66 PCGS. CAC. The 1892 Barber half was better-saved in high grade than most later dates in the series, but Premium Gems are nonetheless scarce, and finer coins are rare. This CAC-approved MS66 is housed in a first generation holder, and it displays nearly pristine, frosty mint luster. There are no abrasions on the reverse, and the obverse has only a single small tick below Liberty's eye that prevents a Superb Gem designation from PCGS. Original blue border toning cedes to lavender in the margins and delicate champagne in the centers. Eye appeal abounds. Population: 55 in 66 (6 in 66+), 13 finer. CAC: 24 in 66, 12 finer (4/17).
