Barber Half Dollars
1908 50C MS65 NGC. A dip in the mintage of 1908 half dollars compared to the higher mintages of the 1907 and 1909 issues does not translate to any meaningful difference in market value, yet the scant population in Gem and finer condition suggests it should. This frosty example displays pale golden-gray toning and soft mint luster throughout. The shield corner is sharp, with only slight merging of the details on the eagle's talon and arrow fletchings. Census: 11 in 65, 4 finer (5/17).
